![]() ![]()  Some rifles are very consistent right out of the box while others need a tune up. ![]()  It's really how much time and effort do you want to spend trying to attain superb CONSISTENT accuracy.  You can always put fore end pressure back in.  Play with a lot of loads until you get decent accuracy.   Might as well pillar bed the action screws while you are in there.   I almost think  when you get a finiky rifle,  free float the barrel and epoxy bed the entire action including fore ward of the action 3 to 4 inches.  Generally there is  suppose to be about 5 to 10 lbs pressure  depending upon all the different rifles, and this is not any hard and fast rule,  but rather a starting point.   Some rifles are just bedded better than others.  It's totally not uncommon to have  one of the pressure pads,   I'll call them points because that's about how much contact is made with some rifle stocks.  There is a certain amount of plus and minus built into each gun for parts to fit.  You aren't going  to get the same fore end pressure from rifle to rifle no matter how hard you try. It's a production rifle,  It's a production stock. ![]()
